wiper delay, jets stopped working

wiper delay, jets stopped working
With absolutely no warning signs, my wipers have lost the delay function. If you pull the lever down the first click (to the delay cycle) the wipers do nothing at all (it makes no difference where the delay timing is set). Also, the jets for the washer fluid quit working at the same time as well. Not even so much as a trickle. However, my wipers will still function normally on regular wiping (no delay) and fast wiping (still with no squirters though).
Any ideas whats going on here?

The shop manual that you can download from the sticky, says that it could be a faulty motor, switch, or a bad ground. If you get the shop manual, it tells you how to check each part of the wiring harness to make sure that it works properly.
Good luck.

Sounds to me like the switch is going out, ie the contacts are toast. Having these two problems pop up at once would point to that. However, you need to get an FSM and test the switch before you go replacing parts willy nilly.
