windshield wipers....

ok i have a slight prob....theres a ball socket on the end of the windshield wiper motor, and it's suppose to hold tight onto the linkage for the wipers, well shes all worn out and isnt staying in there, ive been runnin without wipers till i figure this out, but so far its been like 3 weeks...any ideas?? i can get a pic if need be....thanks

Drill through the whole assembly with wipers on and put a pin through it. maybe?

well i was gonna zip tie it lmao but the knob keeps spinning...so it would just break the zip tie...ill get a pic for better understanding...

Go get a used linkage set thats in good shape.


Mine is kinda loose so the wipers kinda bounce, lame

allright here it is,

you can see the recirculating ball, and the socket its suppose to fit into...how in gods name do i fix that without replacing the linkage...

Remove the cowl and replace the linkgage with a used set. Trust me, easier then trying to fix it..

Two possible problems. One, the end of the linkage has broken (the metal end) or Two, the bushing is shot.

Either way, you need to get a new linkage. They generally fail in the same spot, so look for good condition ends.
