windshield wiper and spray linear

i want to remove my wiper arm, i removed the nut under the cover and tried to pull the arm up but it would not come off so i stopped i did not want to pull to hard and break it can someone help me on how to take the arm off please. second question i want to spray that box liner stuff in my wheel wells and on the outside lip of the fender to prevent rusting and longevity is this a good idea i am not to worried about cosmetics.

i think if you do it wrong you end up traping mosture causeing rust, but i am not positive on that

wiggle the wiper arm a little when u pull it off. just did this the other day. the splines were a tad rusty on mine

I just took off one wiper arms, because on of the stupid screws broke off( the one that holds the wiper on). Mine was stuck. What I did was spray a little PB and let it soak. Then I took a junk screwdriver centering it on the bolt I gave it a quick rap,while pulling up on the wiper arm with my fingers. It's tricky but it works.

Advance Auto parts sells a wiper arm removal tool, it looks like a tiny tie rod removal tool. Like this

$11.00 bucks
