Windshield trim

Well I had no problems removing the chrome windsheild trim to paint my truck, however, getting it back on is proving to be a trick! Any ideas?

The window guys that put mine in had a four or five different universal rubber trims..

So I ditched the chrome.

I was just painting my truck and pulled the chrome trim. I'm no pro on the subject, but it looked to me like there are some clips on the trim, and the trim should be installed or removed when replacing the windshield. It was like the clips were held in with the same black silicone as the windshield itself.

I ditched the chrome and will be applying a generous amount of black silicone to make my "trim". It's a dedicated trail rig, though, so you may want something that looks a little more pro.

I am considering using the same Urethane that they use for the windsheild adhesive/seal, but the trick would be getting it to look decent. I'm not too picky about it, but it would be nice to get the newly painted trim back on.

Thanks for the compliment by the way.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was talking about. If done right I think it would look pretty good, and it would be one less piece of chrome.
