Windshield interchange...

I need to change my windshield on my 94 xcab pickup. Is all the front windshields are the same? All the glass shops I call ask me if its standard cab or xcab? One of my friends gave me one for a standard cab. Anyone else knows about this! Lmk. Thanks!

I'm planning to buy a 1990 standard cab pickup 22re 4wd manual, which has a large crack across the windshield. I have a parts truck on hand -- 1985 xtracab pickup 22re 2wd automatic -- with a good windshield. Has anyone made a swap like this? Are they interchangeable?

just make sure the glass is OEM spec thickness. Many glass shops cut cost by using a thinner piece of glass.

Aw jeez, well, there goes the dream.

Alaska90, if you search for just "windshield" there are lots of threads.
