hello all, i have an 89 4runner and came in contact with someone selling motor parts from a 92 yotat pickup, my truck and his truck both have the 22re engine, but my question is are the engines the same for both those years? i know that obviously the body styles changed etc. but does anyone know if the intake/exhaust manifold and fuel rail would work for my truck off that truck?

any help would be greatly appreciated

89 and 92 should work for EFI.

We converted a 87 22r to EFI using ALL the parts from a 91 (harness, ecu, fuel tank, manifold, etc

The intake, exhaust, & fuel rails will bolt up. There are differences between the two intakes and differences in the wiring harness. You best bet would be to keep your old intake (lower) - use the upper intake from the 94 truck with your TB, etc. Otherwise you'll need to swap everything including ecu and wiring harness.

The upper plentum on the 94 is better..
