Will an '86 2WD truck body mount on a '88 4WD frame?

I rolled my '88 Toyota pickup 4WD recently and the cab is unfortunately unrepairable. I have found 2 cabs which are an '86 2WD cab and an '85 4WD cab. I favor the 2WD cab the most because its in great shape, but I dont know if it will fit or whats different between them.

I'm guessing the cabs are the same, i'm just not sure about the mounts. And I'm wondering what all is different with the fenders and other stuff like that

is the 2wd cab cut for the transfer case shifter? what about the trans tunnel? is it a manual to manual tranny cab auto to auto? etc etc? does it matter?

the 4wd fender flare is deeper and is cut higher on the body line than the 2wd fenders, the corner lights are also different.

2wd fenders have lower wheel arches.

As long as the generation is the same the mounts should line up

If you are swaping a standard cab for a standard cab or an extended cab for an extended cab, as others have already said the front fenders and the rear fenders of the box are the only differences between the 2wd and 4wd truck bodies. The cabs are the same, body mounts are the same, the holes through the firewall for the steering column, brake master cylinder, heater location, etc are the same, but if it was a 2wd. auto, then you will have to cut out the transmission tunnel (use the one out of your wrecked 88 for a template) and you will have cut holes in the firewall to mount your clutch master cylinder assuming of course that your original truck is a standard.
