will 85 rear 3rd member fit into front axle?
are the axles same front and rear for lets say a 1985 truck, may sound like noob question but i need to know.

I second that.. I dont know how far back that is good for, but 84 and 85 truck or 4runner have interchangeable 3rds front and rear, while 86 to 89 rears will work in 85 and 84 fronts... hope that makes sense

Ya, all 8"s are interchangeable, with the exception of e-locker 3rds (they need the housing modified to fit)
