Will 3VZ-E from from auto mate to a 5-speed?
I need to know if I can drop a 3VZ-E that came out of an auto truck into my manual truck.
Thanks,

You should be able to, but you may want to do a side by side of the engines, and transfer whatever you need to to make the new engine like the old one (i.e. sensors, vacuum fittings, ect). That should make the new engine a drop in replacement. Take LOTS of pictures! It will make your life a lot easier, in the long run.
Good luck!

Hey John, here's one thread I found on the subject of auto to manual tranny swap:

oh yeah
It will swap easily (relatively). The engines that are mated to the auto and manual both have provisions for the pilot bearing in the crank shaft. The auto may still have the kick-down cable attached, which you do not need. I believe that it is a kick-down cable of sorts. You will have to remove the torque converter and the flexplate. Then, you will have to bolt your manual flywheel on with the manual flywheel bolts. The bolts are specific to this application, as they are longer than the flexplate bolts. I wish you luck.

bolts
The flywheel bolts fit. They must be longer than the flexplate bolts because the flywheel is considerably thicker. A tip is to use latex gloves while installing the flywheel and another set while installing the clutch. It keeps everything clean, or maybe I'm a bit obsessive about it.
