Do a search in here for "spindle lubricator"

sounds like spindle bushings. mine do the same thing. check w/ toyota because there is a service bullitan that replaces the inner bushing w/ a needle bearing that will elemenate the noise for good. unless it goes bad!!

The cold weather brings them out. Dont do the needle bearing. I explained why in my lengthy post under "spindle lubricator"

Very easy - especially if you can build the tool toyota_mdt_tech built.

Yo I Got a tech write up coming up on how to lube the spindle bushings if you aren't as skilled as our buddy Toyota MDT Tech. Its a little more involved than a spindle lubricating tool, but it will get the job done. As soon as I can get some pictures on my computer of how I was suggesting doing it, I'll write it up for everyone who wants to know!

Also, it sounds alot like those spindle bushings to answer the question. I fought with those things for 9 hours trying to put the needle bearing in, and in the end, I just lubed them and they work,
