"whoring the truck"

as you can see i got my yotatech sticker..lol(yes i do LOVE bowfishing..i got one of those big muzzy stickers on each side of the back window)

and you can see the bedlined part of my truck..came out great and it is SUPER tough..

on the passenger side i used rustoleum truck bed coating..and on the driver side i used duplicolor..you might not be able to tell..but the passenger side is DARK BLACK and the driver side is kinda flat black..

i did this partly to see which bedliner would hold up the best to rock ships and such..and partly because the walmart ran out of rustoleum so i had to use dupli color to finish the job..i'll probably go back over it with some black paint to darken it..lol

yep..the black part is bedliner..i like the brown and black look...but sadly..i've already started to make the jump to white and black..

im gonna leave the bedliner on the sides of course..but the rest of the truck shall be white..

i'll repaint my rims..and get my windows tinted..should be verrry nice when all's said and done..

o yea..dont let the front bumper fool ya..its twisted..and is probably weaker than the stock front bumper..the side tubes are only exhaust tubing..(i DID NOT MAKE THIS BUMPER..it was made by the PO)..its very flimsy..

the one i build or get built for my truck will be extremely strong..

Looks good.

One question though. Did taking off the 1st piece of the intake help with air intake? I'd think suckin air from just about the manifold/header would hurt performance.

Yah I'm not a big fan of it. Seeing how small of a tube that takes air in makes laugh. Maybe in time I'll get a webber and use that, open style air filter (brain fart for what there called).

yea im trying to get my hands on a weber right now..along with the filter and such..

yes..the front bumper is very much ghetto....

but until i can find a damn front bumper and grille it'll have to do..

it looks even more stupid without the bumper on there..so i keep it on

If you used the bedlinder on bumper it would make it strong enough. Lol.. Sorry someone at autozone said to me the other day that bedlinder make metal soooooo much more tough. It was hard to not laugh at them. So yah sorry, had to say it.

Although that would complete the black and brown look.

yes yes it would complete the look..but im gonna trash it..

i actually probably wont do much more to this truck other than paint it..

im trying to get my hands on a newer truck..preferably a tacoma (ext cab) with the 3.4, 5speed elocker combo..lol..yea i know keep dreamin right..

but for around $1500 i could have a 3.4, 5speed, t-case, and rear Elocked axle out of a wrecked 2002 tacoma..and i could have a 95 ext cab pickup with a blown 3vz for $1500..soabout $4500 (gotta have room for random parts that i would have to buy to do the conversion) i could have a 3rd gen with the 3.4 and elocker..lol

i love the look of the 98--> tacos..the 95-97's i think is the year range have a weird @$$ lookin front end..lol..my friend has a 2002 taco 2.7 5speed single cab shortbed..and that thing will haul and its sittin on 265/75's..

what kind of gas mileage does the 3.4 5speed get?? and what about the 2.7 5speed??..

of course ext cab trucks..i know the mileage would likely differ between single cab trucks and ext. cab trucks..

well scratch the tacoma........few months ago dad said he would buy me a newer truck as long as i pay him for it over time and i sell the '86 and the '80..

well i found the right tacoma..found a buyer for my '86 and a buyer for my '80..but now dad doesnt want to buy the tacoma.........

so if anybody wants a GREAT tacoma there it is..for cheap has 170,XXX miles on it..

needs a new set of tires and an O2 sensor..

o well though ya know..at least parts are cheaper for my '86 than a tacoma..

this means..i can MAYBE trade my truck for a 3rd gen pickup (big maybe......) and then start modding it...bumpers..lift..tires. (after my x-terrains wear out...unless i get more $$$ sellin em with the '86)..mmm..maybe a 3.4 swap
