You tighten the bolts to get lift, and loosen them to lower the truck- just like a regular bolt.

Go buy one spare nut and bolt as its likely that at least one will be seized and break.

If it is a 4wd truck, look for the bar that comes off of the rear of the upper control arm and runs towards the rear. On the end is a lever through which a bolt runs.
If it were a 2wd truck, look for the bar that comes off the rear of the lower control arm and runs towards the rear. On the end is a lever through which a bolt runs.
Either way, tighten the bolt and you add tension to the bar and relax the tension and you relax the bar.
I think that was mentioned above, but just felt motivated to reply.

Just look for the 4' long a little less than 1" thick bar extending from the upper control arm (4wd, LCA on 2wd) towards the rear of the truck. It will attach to a frame cross member. That's your t-bar.

I'm not hate'n, I'm just expressing the fact that I don't think someone need to mess with things if they don't even know what their looking for...

go to messing with the t-bars without knowing what your doing, and you're opening up a whole other can-o-worms with alignment, tire wear, more stress on idler arm and tie rods, etc...

I'm speaking from experiences here, I'm not just ranting...

torsion bars

dude heres what you do when you find em..... put a jack under your truck and take all the load off the front suspension untill you have clearance between the ground and the tire, then go grab your dads 1/2 air impact witha 22mm socket and rap those suckers tight untill the gun stops turning, then you know they are adjusted.

jackass? who's a jackass?

1) I think that the first reponce by mt_goat probably answered his question pretty good, so anything after that was pretty much useless, lol

2) if you're refferring to me as one of those jackasses, well then to each his own; I was simply expressing my feelings, and trying help someone out from possibly doing more harn than good

With any significant adjustment of the T-bars, you should be getting an alignment after anyways.
