Well I went with the reman 3vze from Denny's machine shop in Maryland. First of all let me say I am very impressed with everything. Denny was great to talk with on the phone. He answered all my questions and even made me aware of things I didn't foresee. Now for the good stuff. I called him on a Tuesday and purchased the engine. He shipped it out that next day (Wednesday) I received it that Friday. Wow really fast. That was from Maryland to the gulf coast
Now the packaging was 1st class everything was covered and well protected. If he put as much in the rebuild as he has the shipping I should be in good shape. I will post pics when I get back from the in laws.

Got the Engine In

She's ALIVE!!! over the weekend I got the Denny's Engine dropped in and everything all buttoned up. Everything went smooth. replaced fuel filter, added fuel, turned key over a few times and she fires right up.
I feel pretty good for only using the forum and searching for pretty much every answer I needed.
I didn't keep it running long as I don't have water in it nor do I have the exhaust hooked up, but man did that feel good to hear it come alive.

I am not an endorsed advertiser for Denny's Machine Shop however let me speak of my experience so far.
I must say I was a little hesitant to find a supplier, I called Denny and spoke with him on the phone and he explained a little about his shop and their process. He wasn't the cheapest out there but he seems solid. I ordered the engine on a Tuesday and I think it was here on Thursday. Maryland to Mississippi. It arrived looking great and already had most parts attached and tightened to specs, So I added my few parts and of course put things on in the wrong order so I really got to know the parts locations real well. Everything was in TDC and all the markings looked perfect. installed the dizzy and set it. Dropped in and hooked everything up. I will put some miles on it and let you know how this engines does.

I went with Denny's 3vze a couple months ago as well. The motor is about $2200, add another $1000 if he installs it.

I think its a pretty good deal! I will just have to wait a few weeks and go with the remanufactured 3VZE.. At least I won't have to worry about anything afterwards.
