where do I buy a roof rack? any one got a link to the best ?

Craigslist, OEM roof rack.

 

I just bought a Yakima roof rack from "Joes" sporting goods store. I already had some brackets mounted on the top for the rear stands so it was pretty easy to put on. Definitely get the full-width wind deflector. Without it those cross bars roar like mud tires!

I was thinking 2nd gen. Scrap that. Craigslist is still a good place to look.

 

I found one on craigslist near me for $125 send me a PM with your email address and I'll forward the info.

 

I made a rack on my '88. I didn't like how tall most racks are, so I made my own low profile rack out of 3/4 X 3/4 X 1/8 angle and some larger pieces for the mounts.

 

I'll sell you one for $100.
