What's included with the Steering Link Recall?

Wondering what's included with the steering link recall. My truck qualifies and I'm in need of a pitman arm.

What all if anything gets replaced with this recall?
The service guys at Toyota wouldn't say much. They just said it would have to come in to be inspected

There used to be a sticky with the recall info but of course when you need something you can't find it! Grrrr!

The local dealership inspected the front end and replaced the center link. The truck had a bad upper ball joint and a squeaking tie rod end ,they told me the cost to fix, it but I choose to do it my self. After doing the repairs I made a appointment to get the front end alignment that was part of the recall.

The centre link is the only part covered by the recall... they will do an alignment as well but be careful.. some dealerships were trying to weasel out of doing it early on in the recall campaign see our thread on this recall for more background on this... you may have to insist on getting the alignment done...
any other parts you may need they will let you know about...
check the install yourself after it's done and before you drive away... I discovered the apprentice tech they had do mine forgot to put the cotter pins on the castlenuts!
Serious boo boo... but also easy to miss if you're just learning the job...

Toyota will also cover tie rod assy right or left or both if seized along with center link. this revision was made to the orignal recall about two years ago if memory serves me right. About 70 percent of the steering recalls we do now get both tie rods assy and the center link.

i just got mine done couple months back when i first got the car. my car gave them hell, had to stay there for 3 days, but they replaced the center link, and both tie rods, and an alignment.
