What's a good SWITCHED power source?
I have my e-fans wired directly to the battery as a means of avoiding the tremendous draw down of having it wired back into the fuse panel. The problem is, my fans always kick on for a few minutes after parking. This doesn't cause any immediate problems, but leads me to believe that having that drain every time I park will eventually lead to premature battery failure.
Anyone got a source for switched power that'll handle the ~25amp draw without burying my stock Fisher Price alternator (soon to be upgraded, by the way)?
TIA

Best bet would be to add a relay that you trigger off of switched power and then run it to the battery, via a fuse or circuit breaker. But the fan should only run once or twice for a short time after shutting off the engine to cool the radiator down. If it is running more than that, might have some other problems.

Thanks Roger... thought about that, but I've never done it before. As I understand, I'd just need to get about a 30 amp relay, with the trigger wire going back to the fuse/junction box?
