What Will ethanol Do To My 91 Runner

I have read plenty of threads on this forum but cannot find what will hapen if I burn an ethanol based fuel. I have seen a thread where someone posteed that the injectors are not compatiable are there any available for the 91 4Runner w/a 3.0?

not run from what i have read...our injectors are too...how should i put it....crappy...

there is a fairly long thread, hijacked of course, maybe several times, at 4x4wire on this topic. Lots of experiments and lots of politics. It is in the toyota section.
I looked into the conversions that are available. Noone sells a toyota conversion, and no toyotas can use ethonal. I think it is becasue all the rubber used in the fuel system is rubber and the acid will destroy the seals and fuel lines. You could probably run a while on ethonal, as some have reported to have no problems at teh above mentioned thread at 4x4wire.com. I am guessing there are so many parts to trade out that aftermarket companies can't make a converion kit to a polyethylene fuel system.

I am guessing, no real knowledge.

Are you talking about pure ethanol or a 10%-15% blend?

My manual indicates using 10% ethanol is ok.

I know in some states that's all that's available.

Perhaps there aren't any Toyotas in those states.

I was talking about both blends 10% and e85 here in the houston area by the middle of next year Krogers will only offer e85 and nothing else thanks sofar for the info.

10% states

marc i live in missouri and all i can get is a 10% blend and this is personally my 2nd yota
mom has a prius
uncle has a taco
and the list goes on
