Best to measure under the frame or along the bottom of the body. Why? The rear wheel wells are not cut as high as the front. To measure under the frame, find two points about 1/2 the wheelbase apart along the flat part of the frame. Measure the height off the ground and double the difference between the two to find the difference at the wheels.

An add-a-leaf spring, like the Rancho Soft-Ride AAL kit (http://www.gorancho.com) or longer spring shackles (http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/Shackles.shtml#FAQ4) would be a better option than blocks.

thanks 4crawler. I am gonna heed your advice and go with shackles instead of blocks. I ordered the bushings from toyota today and am shoping for 1 and a half inch lift shackles now.
