Does it make a difference what oil i.e. Amsoil 5W-30 diesel oil as oppose to 10W-30 motor oil if you're running with only 5 cylinders on a 6 cylinder motor?
Only running a little until either an engine rebuild or engine swap i.e. 3-0 to 3.4 can be done.

No joke.Only vehicle to get to work, If one cylinder is not firing, No 6 by the way, and there is excess fuel, wouldn't the excess un- burnt fuel ends up diluting the oil? or am I over thinking this?

Fuel diluting oil is least of your problems.

you could disconnect the #6 fuel injector wire to prevent it from injecting to that cylinder.

That is almost like saying "it hurts when I hit my finger with a hammer, should I be using a different hammer?" Fix your problem, figure out why you have a misfire. or do like Wallytoo says and unplug the injector and keep waiting for it to break something else. You either have no spark or no fuel or no compression in that cylinder, do a compression test, check for spark, you might fix it with a spark plug or wire. If you have a bad head gasket you are guaranteed to need a complete rebuild if you keep running it and you will just cost yourself money and time overheating and loosing coolant and warping heads.

Wow, I thought I was clear that I would be rebuilding or swapping the engine when I get time. I know exactly what the problem is. No 6 burnt valve. I asked a question about oil, but I get answers that is not related to my question. Use to be a time you could ask a question on this site and get reasonable answers. Guess that not possible any more. I'm done. moving on.

i gave you a perfectly good temporary solution to making sure you don't dilute the oil in your crank, but you are too butthurt to see that. good-bye.

Most active members here push for a real fix to a problem rather than a "band-aid" fix.

It would have been nice if you posted more backstory and that you already FOUND the problem.

There have been many people looking for advice here wanting to scoot around the problem rather than fixing the problem head-on.

Without knowing you or the backstory to the problem, I would have just assumed like others have that you were trying to "band-aid" fix the low compression problem.

The people here are trying to give the BEST advice they can, which includes steering people in the right direction.

Sorry you had this experience.
