It's a targeting computer. When you're moving around in the cab it has to recalculate the trajectory of the mini-mortar it has stashed in the defroster vents.

When you bend over to touch it, you're out of it's firing lane so it quits targeting you.

edit: that's handled by another targeting computer found under your seat.

if u have power locks that could be what that is my ford probe had one of those an it clicked had somethin to do with a short in my power locks

But seriously. Push the button!!! And if nothing happens, well you should be fine. Maybe its a time bomb. I would unscrew it and find any markings on it. Also, follow the wires see where they lead to. If it leads to another black box with a button. Well I would certainly push that button too.

Ooo ooo me me.. I bet it's a motion sensor for your aftermarket alarm. The clicking is the sensor activating when it senses your movement.The button is for sensitivity adjustment.

but i pressed the button and... well........ nothing happened that i could see....

but i assume its just motion sensor for the alarm as richjrosa and others said

all that anticipation, and you ended with that?


you could have at least said you pushed the button and it gave you gas or something (not the gas you put in your tank either )
