I'd put an oil cap in there saying,"You didn't need it, anyway." Or a plastic model of a brain with a 22re ECU sticker on it.

This is funny, though...

I've found the typical timing set shrapnel. That's about it. Well, that and OIL!

I love the valve!

However a dead fuel injector in the pan would be quite funny too!

I did find a piece of a rocker arm (I think- its pretty tiny) in the pan. But the valve, I like that best.

If you had a 22ret, you could throw a compressor wheel in there. Yeah, just try and wrap your noodle around that one!

found a complete unbroken oil control ring in the bottom of a Taurus motor once. Its on my list of "how the hell?"s. right up there with my budys Hyundai which somehow managed to actually flip a valve upside down and put it stem first through the top of the piston, without bending it (the valve is considerably longer than the cylinder is wide).

It wan't mine, but when I worked at the dealer I was resealing the oil pan on a camry and found the head of a rod bolt. Sure enough one of them was broken. was able to put a new one in and the customer was happily on their way.

If I had driven it, it would have blown up in less than a block.

If you want to mess who ever tears it down next time. seal up a "treasure map". But make sure they have to dig up something in a public place so you'll know
