what to do with my 1995 4 runner?

1995 v6 4runner 3.slow
-184,000 miles
-idles very low, and tends to turn off while im @ stop sign or on low speed turns
-straight body, clean interior
-rear window does not open and close properly
-and power door locks don't function properly for all doors

my mechanic called me and told me:
- that i need to fix/replace fuel injector $500
- one of cylinders is misfiring (cause of low idle) and may result in engine overhaul
- rear window fix and power door lock fix is $500
the total fix may cost $2k

here are my options...
A) fix it, and sell it. it may sell for about $5k here in CA (SF bay area)
B) sell it, as is (private party). how much do you think i can get for it?
C) sell it to my mechanic. he offered me $1500.

i'm leaving for an extended holiday, and i dont need to keep 2 cars around. and the extra $$$ can really help out on my trip.

what should i do?

well, what do you have on it? lift? tires? rims? stereo?

if its your baby, dont ask us man.

there are places that will help get your windows up and locks working for like 20 bucks (really cheap!) down here near hollywood.

i would say play your cards right and try to do some of the stuff like the window yourself. save you some money.

have the mechanic tighten/loosen your idle screw = quick fix.....
then the other stuff might cost ya.

you said you have another car and it seems like you wouldnt really care throwing this one away pretty much.

no lifts. it was my camping/surf mobile. its not baby, but it did it's job.

i need to get rid of it, i just dont know the best way. the easiest solution is C, but i think i can get more through private party, i just dont want to go through the craigslist hassle.

just put it in the trader/craigslist, state your price, and that your in no hurry to sell it, if people want it they'll pay for it.

i can tell you on experience, that with that many miles you wont get 5k for it.

3-4k might seem reasonable, but thats only if you fix everything lol!

its crazy what people ask on craigslist for crap running trucks. I would sell it for $4k, but not fix everything. the engine is my real concern. i dont want it to be a hazard on the road.

i really want to get rid of it ASAP. other than my trip, i will have parking issues as well. i dont know where to put the damn thing. i cant have 2 cars.
