What is this item? The p/n is not complete any longer and I can't find any info on it.

 

On my 88 truck the part number is 28515-26030, its the EFI resistor solenoid.

Yep. I had the first set of numbers minus the last digit. The second set was completely gone. After some digging I found the complete p/n. I had a positive line touch it yesterday and saw a spark. I won't have the head back on till tomorrow to find out if it's still good or not. Fingers crossed, seems to be a pricey part new.

 

Flux Capacitor

 

No silly, the flux capacitor is on the drivers side and it's got blinky lights

 

Found one on EBay for 12 bucks

 

My bad, I thought that was the older version that never worked because our trucks never could make it to 99 mph... You must have version 2... The well known 88 mph one...

 

If the downhill is long enough I can certainly hit 88.

 

The one on EBay has the same p/n as the one listed for the 88. Didn't 88 have a different impedance than any other year? I have an 86 and the p/n on mine should end as 26033. The seller states it will work for all 22re motors.

 

This device is a flatudaktometer, found only on trucks that came from the factory with the high performance gonklulator. Its a very rare part indeed.

 

I swapped my flatudaktometer for LC engineering dilithium crystals a long time ago
