Weird idle problem when restarting while engine is warm.

This is a 1987 4runner 22rte with auto tranny. I have a weird issue that comes and goes and seems to occur upon starting it after engine is up to NOT and it has been sitting for less than one hour. Always starts great when cold, or after it's been sitting more than an hour or so.
THE ISSUE:
Truck starts and runs fine. If I start it up cold and then drive for a while and park it, then get back in and restart it soon after, it idles rough and rpms start to drop and it starts to want to stall. I'll give it some gas and it will kind of misfire and lug down. Once I drive it and rev it out for a minute it's fine. Only occurs when engine is still warm. The problem started a few months ago or so but has been getting worse. Now sometimes it will even have a hard time starting. The only things I can think of so far is either possible fuel injector leaks, or coil gets too hot while sitting maybe? I drive it pretty conservatively and am lucky to get 15mpg on it. I am also having issues with my neutral start switch but I don't think that's related.
WHAT I'VE DONE
Engine is good and turbo was rebuilt recently. Pulled plugs which were good condition and toasty brown. Installed iridiums, magnecor wires, OEM distributor and rotor. Any suggestions?

Between the intake plenum(big tube on the back of the throttle body) and the valve cover, located around the middle upper portion it has a hard/solid fule line connected to it and a wire plug.

he means to disconnect the plug, in case you might be confused.

This used to happen to me until I fixed my cooling system. I flushed it, put in RED coolant (important), new thermostat, put a shroud on, and made sure all air was out of the system. I may be wrongly attributing this issue to heat soaking which is, from what I understand, when you stop your engine and leave it the heat still transfers into the coolant but since the motor isn't running and therefore the coolant isn't moving through the radiator and cooling, your engine starts hot and therefore idles low and wants to stall. I don't know what shape your cooling system is in but fixing all of this made it run like a million dollars, stopped pinging, and, so far being that it's not summer yet, fixed my idle issue. I'll be crossing my fingers though when it gets hot cause who knows my problem might come back.

What you're saying makes sense because heat soak was my first thought, but I thought it was happening in the plug wires since they were right over the turbo. The coolant system works fine but is not perfect and it is old. I think at some point someone used a leak seal product cuz I've had to flush the core a couple times and gunk comes out. Usual normal temp is one notch below middle, and If I do sustained high speeds it will hit middle, but never above that. The temp gauge will sometimes rise one notch when parked which shows that the engine heats while sitting. I have been using a turbo timer too but have not noticed a huge difference. I have the cooling system on the list. Picked up a Silla aluminum rad but need to get turbo nipple welded in. So that will be attended to soon. What about that cold start injector, what am I looking for when testing it?
