Weird Clucth Issue, Slips then Grips?

I noticed the other day when shifting into third and accelerating I got some slippage. I was accelerating through third without issue and as I neared the end of third and was about to shift into fourth the engines RPM's climbed as if it was slipping. I backed off and floored it again and I got slipping again. When I moved into fouth I got no slipping. I have continued to drive and it has happened a few more times (2 times over 70 miles) but only in third gear, and maybe second (I don't remember). If I accelerate hard all the way through the gears I detect no slipping. It just happens randomly under normal driving conditions in my experience.

What could cause this?

Maybe oil is coming out of the rear main seal or tranny input seal getting oil on the clutch disc which causes it to slip

Oil then probably burns off disc when it slips and then it's back to normal for a little while. Maybe that's a possibility

Clutch is worn out , it will slip more or less depending on the temp to the disc.
