Weird 2nd Gear Issue-Thoughts?
I can shift through the gears normally with zero issue. I have noticed recently, however, that when I'm moving at least 35 MPH and I move from 3rd to second and hold the clutch in, I can hear a slight rattle and feel it in the clutch pedal as well. Like, the input shaft has spun up on the transmission because I'm moving into a lower gear and it's causing something to vibrate in the bell housing. I assumed it was the throw out bearing so now I'm doing an entire clutch swap (rear main seal, flywheel, pilot bearing, clutch, slave cylinder) to see if that remedies it. Truck is a '94 pickup, 22RE, with 220K on the clock. I wanted to see what you the gang here thought about this, however. Transmission shifts smoothly otherwise but this rattling only seems to happen in 2nd. I I could go from 2nd to neutral and the same thing occurs. This is, however, intermittent. It doesn't happen all the time. Don't really notice a difference between hot or cold either. The other day, I was getting the same rattling when I engaged into first from a dead stop. Like, when I'd clutch out in first, I'd start hearing the rattle. It's very faint but I can feel it in the pedal. I feel like im losing my mind over here. Anyone have a any ideas?? Thanks.

If you are pulling it out, take it to a good manual transmission shop and have it looked at.
I dropped mine at A-1 Transmission in Denver, they tore it down - confirmed everything was good - and resealed trans and t-case for me(the reason I pulled it: output shaft was leaking into t-case) all for $250. Worth every penny.
