So, I have the next week off of work, not that i asked for it.
I am going to have to use this time to work on the 4runner.

I will be doing the passenger side valve cover, finally getting around to it.
My power steering pump just started leaking last night from the bottom sensor thing.

ANy tips on fixing these?
ANy tricks to make it easier, and faster?

I noticed my voltmeter on the guage cluster is pulsating, dropping down to 12 volts, then 3/4 up to 18. I am currently running to amplifier for the stereo and this is with the radio off. Only thing on was the headlights.

IS this a sign of the altenator going out?

....I really want a taco, im tired of working on this thing!!!

Hey muddog, did you ever figure out what that nasty puke smell was?

By the way, I feel your pain.

 

i believe it was simply from all the oil, and there was just that much oil, dirt and nasty crud burning on the transmission and exhaust. i powerwashed unerneath and around the enging where it has been leaking and its been pretty good.

you cant smell it too much, that and now im keeping it on recycle.

it hasnt smelled bad when i get in it after it sitting so i have no idea.

and immediately after i washed out the engine bay the power steering sensor thing on the pump started leaking.

this should be a fun week!......
