voltage light

My volt light comes on and off . At the same time lights go dim to bright and a/c heat fan slows. This happens at idle and all speeds with lights on or off same with fan.My question is does my 91 22re 4x4 have a voltage regulator going out? This has been going on since I bought it 14 months ago. Thank for any help!

Does it have a voltage regulator outside of the alternator? Can I have another problem?

No your voltage regulator is internal.

Could be a few things

could be old and tired wiring

battery terminals corroded

loose ground connections

poor connections in general

loose alternator belt
