Vent under the driver's side dash?

Hey my 86 pickup had a vent under the steering column that would blow towards the front of the seat and therefore heat the floor board. My 89 runner does not have this but there is a raised area on the venting plenum that looks like I can cut it out and install the vent.

Anyone upgraded this part? Would it be easier just to find the plenum with the vent in it at the junkyard and swap it in?

Thank you.

Weenie vent. lol

Mine has one of those, when functioning properly, it should be adequate for your heating/cooling needs. I haven't modified mine, but it is adjustable forward and backward, or you can turn it off.

I liked mine in the truck since my feet tend to get cold.

I was going to call it the "beaver blower" but that might have been a little much.

So I'll be doing the C4V mod. I'll put that in the signature and let folks wonder what in the heck it is!

There is something inherently wrong with you. Its not bad, by any means, just makes me laugh.

Could it be an SR5 thing? I wouldn't think a C4V would only be in SR5's, but I do have one.

My 86 4Runner (SR5) didn`t have this vent when i got it, but i found the vent at pic n pull and added it to my 4Runner. Its about a five minute job to install it.

The cooter cooler

I have a 1999 Toyota 4runner sr5 v6. And I have discovered that there is a cooter cooler vent....living in Southern Alabama you need all the ac you can get....how I found it was my inner thighs and cooter were extremely cold. And I was surprised but also glad. I have to shut it off due to its way to cold....
