No I've been working all week I'm off Friday so it was on my agenda to throw it back in then. And then maybe Sunday I'll go up to the mountain or maybe a day trip out your way?!?! Nah probably not since were going to the beach next week.

Well yesterday I finally got off my buns and put the tranny in! And 3rd gear is back and better then ever now I just wanna go wheeling!!!!

 

Yeah I keep looking at my truck sitting in the garage and thinking the same thing, I am waiting for some small things to get finished up then I think I will be going.

 

Yea I guess were planning a trip for the weekend of June 1st. To browns camp would be cool if your gang could make it out.

It's been too long since I've read up on your thread. I'm running pretty much the same setup (dual cases w/ 4.70 kit and 21 spline). I saw the part where ya snapped the shaft and I nearly had heart attack imagining the sound of shearing metal on my rig. Is the 21 spline shaft really that weak? Might have to consider an upgrade now, luckily my build is stalled and my tranny is not back in the truck yet. Nice truck too, I wish I had an extra cab.

 

definitely has its ups and downs with the xtra cab. and thanks I like it. the 21 spline will only do it if you run the front case by itself which you really should never been running 2.28 by its self when mine broke everything was locked and going up a very steep hill showing a buddy how the duals work. just never run the front case by itself and you'll be fine.

 

So you snapped the shaft in the 2.28 case?
