Value Of 22r Block Bored 40 Over

What would a block be worth that was bored 40 over? Its just been bored over and cleaned up.

Probably not a lot more than a standard bore block.
If it's been final honed, it's worth less than a good block. The motor shouldn't be bored/final honed until the machinist has the pistons in hand. Pistons tend to vary in size between castings.

No real perf advantage to .040 over... Maybe you can find someone who is willing to pay a discounted rate for the machine work and clean up?

Not only is there no real advantage, I'd say that it's a disadvantage.
They tend to run wamer (hotter). Lack of mass between the cyclinders to act as a heat sink.

These blocks are good to .060 over before you have to have them inspected.
LC runs .080 on their stroker setups, but not all blocks make that cut.

I've run both .040 and .060 blocks. These are water cooled setups, not old school Kawasaki KZ1000's. Most of the heat gets transfered to the water. I've never had a cooling problem with one.
