V6 3vze - Code 25 and causes. (And VAF)
1. So I got a code 25 on my 89 Pickup. Running Lean. I figure it's the O2 sensor I had recently put in, so I take it out make sure everything is there and put it back on. I clear it and it comes back about 1000 miles later.
I clear the code, pop the hood and take a look around. I notice two big things. 1. The hose (in red) is cracked and the fastener wasn't even on. the whole thing looks like it was about to slip off. Furthermore the edge is cracked. I slid it up as far as I could and put the fastener where it should be.
Could this have been why I got a 25? Also, for some reason, the clips for the air filter were both off. Strange, since I haven't even touched it since I bought the truck a couple of months ago, and I was sure I had fastened them. So the whole thing was slightly open. Also really relevant?
2. I was going to check the Volume Air Flow (VAF) Meter, as per the attached doc attained in another thread, but I have no connection at E2. There's no wire going to where I can test from.
Isn't that something I should have?
