URGENT HELP! Ring and pinon bearings.

i need help bad, i took my truck in to have my 5.29s installed last tuesday and was told it would be a one to two day job and now it's been about a week and half because the idiots don't know what they are doing. turns out, they busted the back rear pinon bearing and they now cannot find a replacement.

I NEED A REAR PINON BEARING FOR AN 86 PICKUP! If any of you have one or know of where i can get one (preferably new) please please please let me know because i need my damn truck back.

apparently they checked through toyota and this bearing is on "national back order" which means i'm completely screwed if i can't find one.

thanks much.

call west coast differentials in rancho cordova, CA. I just had my bearings/gears redone by them a couple weeks back.

buy a master install kit for your diff at 4wheel parts wholesalers. (call 'em up)
V6/turbo pinion bearing is bigger than the 4 cyl, so be sure you tell them, and get, the right kit.

the dealer can put the order on "critical" and get the part almost next day.depending on the actual status of the part.

ya! that's what its starting to look like to me too! i just got off the phone with four wheel parts and they have my master kit in denver and they price matched it with another place i found that was cheaper! so i can get the whole kits (front and rear) for under 200 bux! ...i aint payin this place ÅÅÅÅ!

Gotta tell you that they are completely clueless.
Those bearings can be had from ANY place that sells the gears, carriers.

I would NOT let them setup the gears for you.
They sure as hell wouldn't go anything else to mine except pay to have it towed somewhere else for me.

I can't believe that they're installing new ring and pinions and didn't get the master install kits (which would have the bearings).
That's just beyond stupid !

i completely agree! they told me originally that this was going to be the comlete setup (which to me means that they are doing the whole thing, rings, pinions, bearings and all!). i actually got ahold of the new master seal kits and i'm having my cousin bring them down to me tomorrow and i'm just gonna demand them to finish the job because they already have it torn apart and i know if they did transfer it to someone else they would probably just screw it up even worse in the process. and once i get it back, i aint payin them anything close to what we originally agreed on. i've had to miss work and school because they didn't get me my truck back.

am i wrong? because i feel that NONE of this b.s. is my fault and i shouldn't have to pay for it...
