Upgrading Headlight Wiring Harness
#1
I have a 93 Yota 4x4 and im wanting to update the headlight wiring harness as mine is crap. Just wondering what and where the best place to buy a good one is? Also im wanting to replace the headlights and was thinking about the Hella e codes with 60/55w lights or should i get some higher wattage lights like the 70/65w or 85/80w or go higher? Thx for the help and Merry Christmas to all Yota owners.

55/60W is the legal limit, lots of folks run brighter bulbs and make sure they are aimed right.
If you want cheap, the AutoPals (H4 style replacements) are plastic housing/glass lens and seem to get decent reviews. There are reported issues with the gasket seal in the back.
The Hella E-codes are all glass and are very nice with a sharp horizontal cutoff. I have the 7" round ones in my samurai. High beams tend to light up tree branches a bit.
In my toyota I have the all glass Cibie H4 replacements. I got them through Danielsternlighting.com. IMO they are worth every penny. Excellent quality, perfect fit and perfect seal. they have a very nice sharp horizontal cutoff beam pattern AND they focus the high beams more on the road than up in the trees, even better than my hellas, which are good. I'm running 60w/70w osram +50 bulbs and 4crawler's headlight relay harness. Let me tell you, I'm thoroughly impressed with the light output and have not had a single person flash me because I've blinded them. The focus on these lenses is incredible.
Standing in front of the truck you can not tell that I have anything other than factory style lights. I highly recommend danielsternlighting.com and the Cibie lenses and the 4 crawler.com harness. very easy install.
