Assuming the color is W-B, it is almost certainly a ground wire. There is one beneath the throttle body, and another near the VAF. Can't tell from your photo which loom the wire comes from.

The best solution is to get a hold of the Factory EWD manual for your year. it has a fold out page dedicated to ground points.
The second way is to kinda let the wire fall in the path it wants to take. After years of being in one position it just naturally goes that way. Should get you close.
Is it part of the loom that goes to the alternator?

The alternator loom crosses over from the drivers side near the air box and it looks like it wants to fold back behind the alternator
