ugghh...replacement Diff. problems.. any ideas

So I had a problem with chunka chunka pull slam on the front end when in 4x.
Changed C.V. axles.... didnt help.. (axles needed changed anyway so one up). Bought a used front Diff. from a local Toyota mechanic (trustworthy). I checked the model numbers and the drive numbers on the stickers and they were the same on each vehicle, so I said I wanted the Diff.
He wanted to double check so called toyota and checked the VIN of both vehicles and was told they were a driveline match gears and all.
Well...Long story short. I finally took the time to swap out the units today (not such an easy task alone, at lest not as I thought when removed of both..lol)
I have a worse problem. It is drawing down and pulling HARD to the right when in 4x, lo or hi.
It seemed to spin nicely, I could hear a nice even smooth meshing of the ring as I spun it before installation (especially compared to my removed unit which you can feel miss and catch and chunk when spun by hand)...
UGGHHH... I assume the gears are wrong? I am stupefied....and sore and tired...
Any Ideas?...

Did you count and verify the gear ratio or just assume it was correct by codes?

I tend to think you have 2 different gear ratios, also. Somebody might have swapped one or the other before you got it?

You can verify your gear ratio by following this.

Block the tires at one end of the vehicle to keep it from rolling, and then jack up a tire on the other end.
Place the transmission in neutral and release the parking brake if you are checking the rear diff.
Spin the tire exactly TWO full revolutions while at the same time counting exactly how many revolutions the driveshaft spins (marking the driveshaft and tires beforehand will make it easier to count revolutions).
The number of revolutions the driveshaft spins is your gear ratio.
If it spins just over 4 times, then the ratio is probably 4.10; 4-1/3 = 4.30; 4-1/2 = 4.56; just under 5 = 4.88; 5-1/3 = 5.29, etc

Ring gear should have numbers stamped on it and match to the other, count the teeth also on both ring gears.

Your last gears were Blown the teeth or spider gears for cracking.

take pictures of ur front end. Your cV axles n all make sure its working right. I had a truck that literally hopped when it was 4x4 on the street because of the Bow in of the tires from owner before cranking torsion bars (just bought the truck day before)

The pulling could be the gears werent setup right also.
