Two questions

What is that black thing around my window

How do I remove it

I guess three questions

Is your rear window suppose to roll down with he key or just roll up

That's a trim piece

not sure why you'd want to, I'm pretty sure it helps retain the window seal.

It should roll up or down with the key.

I want to replace it and clean behind it


If it doesn't roll down What are the reasons

looks like a 2nd Gen 4runner, 20-25 year old truck.
contacts or switch could be going bad

Possibly the switch on the lock cylinder, possibly the power relay module. Does it roll down from the switch on the console?

It's a 91

Any ideas on how to remove the trim so I can clean it
