And your local auto parts store *should* have a selection of led flashers in stock. But you can also order online. Easiest would be to go to the out parts store. Yank your current one, and then ask them to find one with the exact same terminal wiring... This link should be the correct one to do, but I haven't done mine yet: http://www.superbrightleds.com/morei...asher/782/836/

Going to be ordering front hilux corner lights (have separate turn signal and parking light reflectors/internals) and piggy backing on front turn signals' wiring so only swapping to LEDs so I'm sure no wiring is getting overloaded... Also doing a relay for corners to alternate, but that's not germane to this convo.

Also, the advantage of stock flasher is that when you have a light burnt out it blinks faster to alert you that there's a problem with turn signals (believe greater than 130 blinks per minute -- it's in the FSM). The new one you're installing won't similarly indicate with blink rate, so you'll need to check your turn signal lights monthly.

I can see where it can get real confusing.

So many terms used interchangeably that can mean so many different things.

You have turn signals you have Hazard lights most often called anything thing from flashers fourways to 4 way flashers.

If your only changing the front turn signal lights.

You will need to change the flasher in the fuse panel on the left side in the cab remove the old one install the new one for the led lights

Not real sure just what year your working on

But most the fuse panel is on the left side in front of the Door post

Behind the plastic trim.

If you don`t want LED lights you can get non led lights in the same shape and size.

Brackets to bolt or weld rubber grommets your good to go.

a51young & Edionne13 -- you should also be able to swap in hilux corner lights with their own independent reflectors/lenses and already present holes:

Buy them here for $64 including shipping (haven't done but on my future mods list): http://www.ebay.com/itm/88-97-Toyota...-/160911721856

Cool beans.

I drive in the city more than offroad... So I figure if it helps to keep some yahoo from running into me, it's worth the small cost for prevention to add the extra turn signal light. When I update, I'm planning on doing a write up -- sometime before years end.

I don't mean to thread hijack here, but I have a relevant issue.

I wired in my Trail Gear LED turn signals and yeah, theyre flashing like a bulb is out.

Since I love the look of the TG signals, I'm looking to take the resistor route.

Does anyone know which size resistor I need to make the signals flash near stock?

if you have an ohm meter, measure the resistance across your original bulb and subtract the resistance across the led and thats the size your looking for.

Much better to modify the flasher or get an electronic flasher. The resistors have to be pretty stout to handle the current. They are bulky. Not to mention another wiring connection waiting to fail.

I sort of cut the old ones off right after the bulb, to leave enough wire to reach the TG signals...

Just wish flasher did you get??

Mine was just plug and play no trimming of anything.

I used the Napa one.

It is possible you got one boxed wrong.

If it helps, I have front turnsignal LED`S, useing 3 Ohm chasis mounted aluminum housed resistors, driving 8 LEDS ea.
