Turbo R 151 F

Hello, I have a Turbo R 151 F transmission with no bellhousing and no transfer case. I also have a 1988 toyota 4x4 extended cab 22re with a G-52 Tranny with a forward shift transfer case. I would like to subsutute the R 151 for the G-52. I was wondering if the bellhousing on the G-52 would work on the turbo tranny and what would i have to do to get the transfer case to mate up? If not how would I make this work? Thanks.

You should introduce yourself.

Toyota used 2 bolt patterns for tranny to bell housing a small (w56) and large (R151) so no the one from the g52 is most likely not going to work. Can't say 100% sure but like 99% as I've never worked with a g52. AA (advance adaptors) and perhap inchworm sale the Turbo bell housing. The Turbo t-case was 23 spline gear driven were the rest of the t-cases as 21 spline. Marlin, Trailgear, and some others sale the kit to make a a t-case 23 spline.

Thanks, I do some checking on those web sites. I did find out that those transmissions are the same length.

They all were used in same generation and Toyota does such thing.

Tech section on Marlin is good source of 411 as is the faqs on pirate4x4 in toyota section.
