Cluster Swap

Hello,

I've just acquired an '87 4WD 22R Pickup. I would love to have an RPM tach on-board and I noticed the Turbo/SR5 clusters have one. Is there a way to swap a Turbo cluster to a non-turbo engine and swap in a sensor/hardwire the cluster to read out my RPMs? Any information would be appreciated, thanks.

Erik

You would probably be much better off finding a SR5 cluster and swapping that in. I know I have read that the turbo clusters are not a plug in swap for non turbo trucks.
