But anyway there are adapters you can get for the stock 22r if that is the engine you have but I would recommend the steed speed manifold. Takes up less space, spools up great and is sturdy and much cheaper than most others of same or similar quality. In my opinion it is the best 22r turbo manifold on the market. http://www.steedspeed.com/

Well I hope its at leas a 2wd. Anyways they have dapters for the te manifolds that let you run the garret turbo. I would just upgrade the whole manifold though.

I don't know if this has much to do with what you have going on with the turbo project, but he it goes.
I put a 22re-turbo in place of a 22re and when finished it ran okay. I had it set up with a t3/t4 hybrid turbo, intercooler, blow off valve, 450cc injectors and of course the turbo air flow sensor and ecm.
The first issue I had was it would hit some sort of fuel shut cut, just as it started to build boost and that was annoying. I found that toyota has a fuel shut off that cuts fuel. I won't try to go into detail, but thats what I found. So i tried running 450cc injectors to try and get more fuel before it hit the cut-off. Also I was pushing at first 23lbs of boost and it was a wild truck, but I kept blowing head gaskets, so I dropped the boost to 12 lbs and it did better but didn't solve all my issues.
Sorry, if I get a little off topic,
If I were going to run more boost than recommended I would think about running arp head studs, or you will probably start blowing head gaskets like I was. I had replaced 3 in a period of 300 miles. Not fun.
I hope you have good luck in getting more power.
