Triple Cases??
What you think, I was looking at my friends formula toy, and realized that his double cases almost had the same driveshaft length, but my single case is WAAAY different. Then i realized that his engine was moved 8inches back and 1in down.
Well that got me thinking, if his engine is 8 inches back, then triple cases would be about the same.
I know marlin is using triple cases (or more). But does anyone know if the out put shaft of the T-case can handle all that torque??
Im either going to do dual ulitmate (2.28 + 4.7) or stock triple (2.28+2.28+2.28), one crawl box, and transfercase would give me about the same at a 4.7 case, and my driveshafts would be almost equal length. Which means I can trade them out if I screw one up.
The only reason I am thinking about doing this is its different...The only problem I see is I would have to build a custom cross member!!
Does anyone see any problems with this??

It's multiplied.
So 2.8x2.8x2.8
It comes out to be like 1:21
then times the gear ratio of whatever gear, and 21x5.29 is 116.12...
So...
You could essentially drive around in 4th or 5th, and it would be like 2nd gear...
I think 1st gear is something like a 3:1 ratio, or around that... so.. it's alot.

Stock cases have a really good ratio. and with 5.29's I wouldn't even consider a third case....
I wouldn't even think a third case would be in the cool factor category lol. Save the third case for a spare

I'm not an expert on the subject, but I personelly don't see why you'd need tripple cases, unless you've got a weed-wacker motor under the hood 
you can almost idle up a 45 degre incline with duals, so what would you need tripples for?
I'd just assume regear the diffs if you think you're overgeared, and call it a day

Twin tranny set up and three cases.... *lets see.... reverse on the front tranny...... reverse on number two..... first t-case in low... second t-case in low... third t-case (crap that's a lot of sticks) front stick in low, rear stick in low........... let the clutch out and crawl forward at 400:1* Step out, open a beer and watch the truck climb on it's own while you talk to your friends.

duals give you:2.28 x 4.7 = 10.716:1 crawl ratio
triples : 2.28 x 2.28 x 2.28 = 11.852 crawl ratio
You aren't really benefiting. Now with a longer t-case set up means you need a shorter drive shaft, which can cause vibration issues, so you'll need a CV drive shaft. Put that into cost and you are looking at buying 2 cases instead of one, two doublers instead of one. Not worth the benefit, imo.
