Thanks Tofer, I've parked it for now. I'm gonna do some more research and call around for other suggestions these next few weeks. I figure I have till spring to officially pull the truck out and start daily driving it. If I find out anything on it I will keep this thread updated. thanks.

Here's my girl...

Thanks...yeah I just got it last year towards the end of summer and drove it for a couple months then stored it for the winter.

It is extremely clean and I love it. It's funny because I looked for a first gen for a looong time and this one fit all my criteria...all except that I wanted a 5 speed. But it was in such great shape that I couldn't pass it up. Who knows one day I'll find the courage to do the 5sp swap.

Here's an interior shot...just for kicks. I put the diamond plating in on both doors and also the tailgate. I also put the door pockets back in because I do use them a lot.

Cool how you mounted those speakers! I'd love to try that but I'm afraid I'd kick them out or fling a big piece of mud in them.

Actually there's one little tiny crack on the inclinometer gauge right on the left corner. It's about 1/2 inch long...not bad at all though. You can hardly even notice it.

The kick panels were on there when I bought the truck. Sounds good but I do tend to kick them often. One thing I do lose is my dead pedal (which I like )

You just need to get some diamond plating and cut it to size. This is what I did.

thanks, yeah I'm in the dark about the trans/TC so more research is needed to investigate the problem.

I was talking about the actual panel, with the integrated armrest and pocket. I've been trying to hunt down a set for a while. I've already got the diamond plate sitting in my basement waiting to get put on nice job nonetheless.

a guy at the local stereo shop was trying to sell me some of those, his own used ones. I'll have to ask where he got them from.

One of my favorite things about my 1st gen 4Runner is that I can put 5 DH bikes over the tailgate and 5 people in seats. These rigs are great shuttle vehicles.
