Transmission replacement.

My automatic transmission went out in my 94 runner about a year ago. I'm finally going to purchase a rebuilt one this weekend. I have a couple of questions that I thought could be answered here before I start.

1) How many hours does it usually take for the swap if you have decent automotive knowledge? I've swapped a couple of transmissions, but not a 4Runner, so I'm not a rookie, but I'm not wiz.

2) Any tips you would give me before I start? Hopefully I can avoid any pitfalls learned by someone who has done it already.

3) What should I be looking for in a used transmission?

4) Is there any guides written on the internet you could guide me too?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have?
