Transmission Mount Bad?

Kind of pissed off right now...That $#@ trans inspection plate is not easy to get off.

I stripped the bejeezus out of one the 4 bottom bolts taking that thing off, so now my truck is out of commission until tomorrow at least.

At any rate, the drive/flex plate is fine, no bolts missing, no cracks. But there's still some vibration back there when under load. U-joints seem solid, no looseness. Linkages are fairly old and loose, but I don't think that's it from the sound...

I think the trans mount is bad. I can pick the whole transmission up off the rubber. It shouldn't do that...right?

I think there are some bushings missing maybe...Take a look.

I'm willing to say that if you can physically pick the trans up, like maybe 2 or 3 inches, then yeah, it's shot... but it will have a little play; afterall, it's just floating on rubber pretty much

The rubber came up entirely, easily, about a 1/2" gap with little effort.
