Transmission Information

This has probably been asked and answered before, i did a quick search, couldn't really find a direct answer.

i have a TURBO 22RE.

I have a r151F bell housing.

i have a r150f trans and transfer case.

my question is.

WHAT CLUTCH AND FLYWHEEL SHOULD I BE USING/WILL BE COMPATIBLE?

If your doing flywheel and all you can use what ever one you want.making sure the splines one the transmission match

It would come down to just how much you abuse things.

The thing is the pins are different between the 2 fly wheels so the clutch plates will only work on the flywheel they are drilled for.

Because the r150f came out of a v6 truck. But I'm putting the r151f housing on it.

The bolt patterns on the flywheels where they bolt to the crank are the same.

Just use the correct bolts bolting them to the crank.

I have seen the aftermath of a flywheel coming off not pretty.

dont buy the v6 flywheel if i recall right the v6 flywheel has 8 bolt pattern because i have a brand new v6 clutch that i discovered i couldnt put on my truck because the flywheels are different (i didnt buy it it was givin to me flywheel , pressure plate, and brand new aisin clutch) i would 1st get the factory turbo flywheel and clutch they are 9 1/4 inch as is the 93-95 N/a 22re clutch they are the biggest, the standard for most 22re's is 8 7/8 so i would go with the above turbo or 93-95 clutch (remember that if you get the pressure plate get the pressure plate to match the clutch) so basically keep the same one thats in there maybe get a good aftermarket clutch
