Hi guys,

So I've got an 86 pickup EFI with automatic trannie. Today on my way back from some errands I noticed that I was severely lacking in power in 1st gear. Got home, dropped some stuff off, went to drive somewhere and now there is no go. I still have reverse, but nothing in Drive, 2nd, or low. Usually I can hear and see the revs drop when stopped and shifting into reverse or the drive positions, but now I can only see and hear that going into reverse, no change from N to drive.

this is my daily driver, PLEASE HELP!

*update* after letting everything sit and cool for a few hours I gave it a try again. Now I can hear it shift into first, but all I get is a bunch of revs and only enough power to go downhill.

 

Did you find out what the problem was, and what it took to fix it? I have same problem.
