1995 4Runner 3.0 V6, Manual tranny. Installed new clutch no problem, everything went back together with no issues except for the transfer case shifter. Its in there, with snapring in place, but only has a bit of free play front to back, won't move anywhere else. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, any tricks to get installed properly?

Likely missed the slots in the shift forks. I like to shift into 4H, this aligns both slots in the for, then stab in the end of the shift into those two aligned slots.
