Sounds like whoever last put the shifter in missed the slot in the shift rails. I usually miss about 50% of the time, so always throw in a bolt or two and test the shifting before snugging everything down tight.

Ya we got it going when we had to. It snowed all last week and that's when we fixed it and worked great. Thanks everybody for the help!!
