i've got an A340E and i'm starting to consider sawpping in a R150F. Problem is the A340E is the 2WD auto tranny and the FSM doen't list a 2WD manual tranny. is it possible to just drop the transfer off the R150F and replace it with the 2WD... lock-up, i know its not called a lock-up but the peice on the rear of the tranny that has the drive shaft u joint on it and its the same length as a 4wd transfer. i don't know shat about tranny swaps so any input would be a great help. thanks guys!

 

ok i finnaly found the awnser to my question.... best to just leave the transfer on the R150F and then i have the option to install 4WD later if i want. wow idk what my mental block was... i guess i figured i didn't want an un-hooked transfer on the tranny but what difference does it make anyways right?
